The center of the middle panel is dominated by "Ann", the name given to the blast furnace by the workers. The cold strip mill which stood four stories high is alongside Ann. In the distance behind Ann, can be seen the distinctive skyscrapers and buildings of the downtown Pittsburgh skyline, connected by the Birmingham Bridge.
